The quest will allow you to investigate the killer by yourself although finding some clues can prove to be tricky and the quest itself feels a bit long.
Lost to time search for the atherium shards serial#
Blood on the Iceīlood on the Ice is a quest to find the serial killer who has been running rampant in the city of Windhelm. You’ll have to recover the notes of the researchers who you were sent to find (though, you’ll find them dead by the time you get there). You know what that means: You’ll be facing ancient machinery that’s main purpose is to kill you. The Lost Expedition takes place inside a set of Dwemer ruins. There’s a good reason for it: The quest is extremely long, and it takes you through two different Dwemer ruins, where you’ll risk your life against many enemies to find the Elder Scroll in Alftand. This quest is the only one on this list that is included within the base game’s questline. I’ve compiled a list of the 15 most difficult quests in Skyrim to give you a general idea of when the game gets problematic and to keep you mentally ready for the challenge! 15. So it’s a good idea to know which is which to make sure you’re up for the task. I’m not sure if this will work at any stage or in any situation, but at least it’s worth trying. Some of the quests in Skyrim prove to be way more difficult than others.

However, as soon as I enter Raldbthar Deep Market, the quest marker and the objective are gone.

When I enter Raldbthar, the map marker and the quest objective are still there. After taking these 2 first shards I get a map marker at Raldbthar with the objective "Find the Aetherium shards 2/4". Later on, I start "Lost to the Ages" and collect the Aetherium shards in Arkngthamz and Deep Folk Crossing. Unfortunately in Blackreach I made the mistake to open the Raldbthar Deep Market door (entering a room where the entrance to Raldbthar is blocked by a wall that can only be lifted from the other side). I already encountered the bug in a previous game, so, after starting a new game, I tried to keep away from the places where the shards can be found, before going to Arkngthamz. I managed to fix the bug in a very simple way.
